Aloha Guys!
So here is where we explore and analyze our play text. Please spend some time here every day. Every day I will add new scenes for discussion so that in three weeks we have covered it all. So, by missing three days in a row you will be behind and your cast mates will miss out on your input. Your ongoing active discussions are absolutely necessary to this part of the process.
You can talk about how it makes you feel, or what meaning you derive from the text, or your own character development. You can suggest rewrites or word changes. You can write a song about it, ask and share an opinion of a friend or stranger, and upload it ... do a video blog on it ... you can reply to other posts on how THOSE posts make you feel ... you can do anything you want.
Have fun!
Antonin Artaud on TEXT: "... instead of continuing to rely upon texts considered definitive and sacred, it is essential to put an end to the subjugation of the theater to the text, and to recover the notion of a kind of unique language half-way between gesture and thought."
*** If you are not a member of our local team of artists in NYC, please feel free to jump in at any time. We'd LOVE to kanikapila with you!
