Enter GOOD ANGEL and BAD ANGEL. GOOD ANGEL. Faustus repent: yet God will pity thee. BAD ANGEL. Thou art a spirit: God cannot pity thee. FAUSTUS. Who buzzeth in mine ears I am a spirit? Be I a devil, yet God may pity me; Yay, God will pity me, if I repent. BAD ANGEL. Ay, but Faustus never shall repent. [Exeunt ANGELS.]

There are many of these "Repent or no?" scenes. Each time it seems to be getting harder and harder for him as he gets deeper and deeper into evil. Kind of like an addiction (alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling etc.) one will often say "I'll give it up" and then renege on that statement and follow it up with an excuse.

Cool comparison Tuan. Bad Angel seems to be that energy inside Faustus that will keep pushing him deeper and deeper in the addiction.I feel like there is some sort of tension that appears when the Bad Angel is there. Some sort of small nervous infection! ^^
